Why the exact lot or batch matters

A lot or batch number identifies a particular production group. A document for LOT-A17 should not be treated as the document for LOT-A18, even when the product name looks the same.

Why it matters

Analytical records describe the sample and conditions stated on that record. Similar names, different configurations, or a different lot number are not an exact match.
